Job Title: MES Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled MES Software Engineer to join our team at voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement MES modules and system integration solutions to meet our digital transformation strategy
  • Develop and configure software for MES-related applications using C# and Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Modify and create applications to meet specific manufacturing requirements
  • Provide expert guidance on Operations and Quality-related MES modules
  • Configure and customize MES software to meet manufacturing needs, including process workflows, data collection, and reporting functionalities
  • Conduct testing and validation of MES systems to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Provide data feeds to external partners using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services
  • Gather and understand business requirements for data visualization and analysis
  • Collaborate with engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes
  • Ensure data security and compliance with best practices
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing and MES
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, Web Forms, SQL Server, PLC communication, and ERP knowledge
  • Prior experience in developing in-house MES solutions or implementing off-the-shelf MES packages
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to travel to our sites as needed, including IN and PA
  • Must live in commutable distance to Shelbyville, KY and be willing to work onsite as needed
  • US Person as defined by ITAR / EAR
