Touro University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach in our Family Nurse Practitioner Program. As an Adjunct Faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and evaluating student progress in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
ResponsibilitiesTeaching- Deliver content for assigned courses, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive education in family nurse practitioner care.
- Supervise students in clinical settings, providing guidance and support to help them develop their clinical skills.
- Evaluate student progress through various assessment methods, including exams, assignments, and clinical evaluations.
- Implement and comply with all Touro College policies and procedures.
- Complete course report forms at the end of each semester, providing feedback on student performance and program effectiveness.
- Promote an environment conducive to student learning, fostering a culture of respect, inclusivity, and academic excellence.
- Report student progress to appropriate personnel, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed.
- Prepare reports on student progress for faculty meetings, providing insights into student performance and program effectiveness.
- Provide student support through meetings, online discussions, or phone calls, helping students overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
- Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing required.
- Two years of clinical experience as an APRN.
- Previous education experience preferred, with a Pharm D in pharmacology considered.
- Unencumbered Registered Nurses License.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner preferred.
