Job Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse and facility. The successful candidate will perform various sanitation and maintenance tasks under general supervision, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily sanitation tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of floors, walls, and equipment.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Operate power equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the facility's physical plant, including repairs and replacements of equipment and fixtures.
  • Participate in the stretch wrap and cardboard recycling program, including transportation of materials to the balers and tying of bales for shipment.
  • Perform tasks to maintain the accuracy of warehouse product locations and ensure the neatness and cleanliness of assigned work areas.
  • Report any unfixable or unsafe issues to the supervisor immediately.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year of warehouse-related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and have strong attention to detail.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work a varying schedule, including shift work, weekdays, weekends, and some holidays. The job is primarily performed in a warehouse environment with regular exposure to fast-moving material handling equipment and other mechanical equipment.
