Job Summary

Cheshire Medical Center is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team as a Rehabilitation Specialist. As a Travel Physical Therapist, you will work with patients to help them build strength, regain mobility, and improve balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with a variety of physical therapy needs, including adapting to artificial limbs, controlling bowel and bladder functions, improving movement and ability, and managing chronic illnesses.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to aid in performance, preparation, or recovery from surgery or injury, and to prevent disability or surgery.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on proper techniques and strategies for managing physical therapy needs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of current Physical Therapy experience (no new graduates).
  • Outpatient Orthopedic experience.
  • Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
  • EPIC and Expro experience is preferred.
  • Training in and competency in the use of standard Physical Therapy modalities (e.g. Estim, USD) is expected.
Schedule and Availability
  • Must be available for the entire contract duration without requesting schedule accommodations.
  • Cannot request more than 5 days of RTO during the contract period.
Additional Requirements
  • Covid vaccinations are strongly recommended but not required.
  • As of 1/1/24, all staff must have de-escalation training for onboarding and clearance from CPI, AVADE, or MOAB.
  • No non-billable orientation.
  • Traveler must not be looking to work in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment.
