Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Sharp Community Medical Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our clinical programs.
Responsibilities:- Clinical Skills: Utilize your clinical expertise to assess and facilitate patient access, triage patients, collect pertinent information, and route to physicians as needed.
- Department Efficiency and Effectiveness: Organize and complete daily requirements and responsibilities, manage patient flow, and ensure quality and meet service standards.
- Leadership: Assist with training and education of new and existing staff, consistently pro-active in team development, and facilitate inter-departmental cooperation and teamwork.
- Medication Management: Maintain current knowledge of applicable medications, demonstrate safe and accurate administration techniques, and ensure verification by licensed person and documentation of all medications administered.
- Nursing Competencies: Successfully complete Nursing Competencies with a score of 90% or greater in each section.
- Quality Initiatives: Complete Quality Assurance (QA) assignments, maintain narcotic control procedures, and support and completion of quality initiatives.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrate knowledge of equipment and Information Systems applications, activate emergency procedure per protocol, and document patient care events in a thorough and accurate manner.
Requirements:
- California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing - REQUIRED
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- 1 Year RN experience in related clinical area
- Triage experience
- Leadership experience
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association - PREFERRED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Various-Employee provides certificate - PREFERRED
