Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Educator to join our team at Community Services Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling and facilitating training related to suicide prevention and mental health programs, as well as collecting and reporting project data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and deliver training workshops on suicide prevention and mental health, including ASIST, Suicide Safety for Teachers, and More Than Sad.
  • Develop and deliver mental health education and promotion programs for schools and community organizations.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with school districts, agencies, and organizations interested in suicide prevention and mental health care.
  • Prepare and deliver customized training for agency, school, and community members on suicide prevention and mental health.
  • Prepare and distribute mental health education materials, such as reports, bulletins, and visual aids, to address suicide prevention and other mental health concerns.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in educational, behavioral, or other related human service or health field required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience delivering training or workshops, preferably in education, parent/community education, or a related community-based setting.
  • Leadership experience desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent time management, strategic planning skills, and responsible and reliable attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making skills, particularly in crisis situations.
  • Knowledge of community resources and proficient computer skills, including Excel.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, non-exempt position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be expected to work between 35 and 40 hours per week, with some evening and weekend hours required.
