We are seeking exceptional Linguistic Specialists to join our National Security Sector, working closely with the Department of Defense. As a Linguistic Specialist, your role will involve crafting summaries, gists, and comprehensive translations to support our defense clients.

The Mission

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide analytical support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence needs.
  • Examine general and technical source materials in the target language to produce accurately written gists, translations, and/or transcriptions of foreign language data.
  • Review and process substantial amounts of foreign language material for critical or essential information as defined by the client.
  • Contribute to media exploitation team members in the creation of serialized written reports derived from target materials.
  • Utilize technical automated information system skills in conjunction with written translations, employing advanced language software programs and participating in forensic processing.
  • Generate serialized reports of exploitation/transliteration.
What Distinguishes You:
  • Required primary language: Russian
  • Preferred BA degree and/or 4 - 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of education, or a Master's degree with 2 - 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Achieve a minimum Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) score of 3 in respective foreign languages in reading and listening.
  • Achieve an ILR score of 3 in English writing, with preference given to a 3+.
  • Demonstrated experience in translating foreign language materials into written English while maintaining the integrity and meaning of the original content.
  • Collaborative team player who communicates effectively with colleagues, addresses tasks promptly and efficiently, and collaborates on group projects.
  • Proficient in standard MS Office applications and capable of learning job-specific software programs, including Computer-Assisted Translation tools and standard operating procedures.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts to meet mission requirements.
  • Technical aptitude to acquire a working knowledge of job-required tools and processes (on-the-job and/or formal training will be provided).
You May Also Have:
  • Background or experience in the military, DLI, or intelligence community.
  • Proficiency in additional foreign languages.
  • Experience in writing intelligence reports.
  • Familiarity with Human Language Technology tools.
Security Clearance:
  • Must currently possess a minimum TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
  • Current or recent SCI-level access is a significant advantage and preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a polygraph and Subject Interview.
