EHS Director

This global food and beverage manufacturing organization is seeking a seasoned EHS professional to lead their safety initiatives. As a Director of Environmental Health and Safety, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and developing strategies to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Compliance: Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to EHS regulations, and promptly respond to changes and updates.
• Emergency Response: Develop and implement processes for responding to site emergencies and governmental inquiries.
• EHS Deficiencies: Identify areas for improvement and develop corrective actions to address EHS deficiencies.
• Budget Management: Manage EHS budget requirements and ensure effective allocation of resources.
• Regulatory Alignment: Align site business objectives and projects with regulatory compliance standards.
• Incident Investigations: Lead investigations into EHS incidents, including root cause analysis and development of corrective actions.
• Training and Development: Deliver necessary training to ensure EHS awareness and compliance.
• Compliance Enforcement: Enforce compliance with corporate and site procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
• Team Supervision: Supervise the EHS team and coordinate with local and corporate EHS teams to monitor management systems.
• Culture of Continuous Improvement: Drive CI initiatives to promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree
• Leadership Experience: 7-10+ years of leadership experience
• Industry Experience: Food and Beverage experience
• EHS Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of EHS regulations such as OSHA, PSM, TSCA and Air Quality
• Technical Skills: Ability to work with a personal computer and proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and Powerpoint
