About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Consultant to join our team at BMO Financial Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving sales and other targets established by business plans, while continuously assessing and improving work processes for sales and service management, risk management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business by contacting prospects and clients, and by cross-selling Bank products and services.
  • Participate and provide leadership in Bank and community activities to increase Bank brand visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
  • Apply deep expertise in bank products, processes, and systems, and effectively troubleshoot to ensure a high-quality client experience.
  • Coordinate closing with closing department, clients, and attorneys, as needed.
  • Serve as a daily escalation resource to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Advise clients on loan products, options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements.
  • May advise business clients on cash management/deposits solutions.
  • Develop and manage banking relationships, plans for prospective clients.
  • Act as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.
  • Provide oversight, monitoring, and reporting specific to assigned business group for regulatory remediation.
  • Analyze financial and related data to determine the needs of the client for proper structuring of the Bank's products and services.
  • Monitor and track performance, and address any issues.
  • Ensure proper documentation for loans and cash management services.
  • Review loan applications and cash management service agreements for completeness and accuracy.
  • Evaluate and structure loan requests, determining appropriate documentation for approved loans.
  • Negotiate terms under which credit/cash management services will be extended, including costs, repayment method, collateral requirements.
  • Ensure extension of credit/delivery of cash management services is in accordance with corporate policies, pricing guidelines, portfolio considerations.
  • Follow up after closing to ensure all documents are completed and filed.
  • Act as the daily sales contact for the client for sales-related questions such as product information, pricing, implementation timeframes, and requirements.
  • Act as the key sales contact with the client to gather the required detailed information necessary to move the sale forward in the process, including completing all necessary documentation.
  • Provide assistance to the team in pre-sales such as pitch preparation and client research and preparation of prospect and client files for action by the Sales Professional Planning.
  • Track implementation requests to keep the process on track with timelines, ensure accurate billing to clients.
  • Track internal reports and recommend improvements to sales support materials based on findings and feedback.
  • Compile pre-call and post-call information packages by accessing internal systems and bank personnel to validate client holdings, pricing, and volumes.
  • Provide research and data gathering to sales team to facilitate solutions to the clients/prospects business and needs.
  • Assist with sales and service administration and processing, ensuring client experience is seamless and opportunities are identified and met.
  • Maintain current client information on Bank system/files to ensure client history is accurate and complete.
Requirements
  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,300.00 - $121,100.00, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
