Family Intervention Specialist

Join Youth Villages, a national leader in the adoption and implementation of research-based treatment philosophies in the field of children's mental and behavioral health. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Intervention Specialist to join our team.
Job SummaryThe Family Intervention Specialist will work with at-risk youth and their families to provide guidance and treatment resources in their own homes. This is an effective alternative treatment for children and youth who otherwise would be placed in foster care, residential treatment, detention centers, hospitals, or other juvenile facilities.
Responsibilities- Carry a caseload of 4-6 families and provide individual therapeutic treatment interventions for assigned caseloads.
- Meet with families a minimum of 3 times per week and conduct ongoing assessment of the clients' needs from a strength-focused, solution-based perspective.
- Collaborate with other providers, case workers, and courts to formulate a collaborative treatment plan.
- Provide on-call crisis support to the client Monday through Friday, 24 hours a day, and participate in on-call weekend rotations.
- A Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline with experience working with at-risk youth, adults, or families is required.
- A Master's degree in a social services discipline is preferred.
- At least 6 months of related experience in counseling and/or case management is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and maintain a flexible schedule.
