Job Summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide Team Lead to join our team. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for supervising and leading Environmental Services Aides to maintain assigned areas in a clean and aseptic manner. You will also be responsible for assigning personnel, equipment, and supplies in an efficient and effective manner to ensure maximum utilization of resources.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead Environmental Services Aides to maintain assigned areas in a clean and aseptic manner.
  • Assign personnel, equipment, and supplies in an efficient and effective manner to ensure maximum utilization of resources.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and conduct employee training and/or development with management to meet established performance standards, teamwork, and customer service criteria.
  • Respond immediately to defects, deficiencies, and/or customer complaints and follow through in-service recovery, service resolution, and follow-up.
  • Exhibit flexibility in scheduling and staffing practices to accommodate needs of the unit.
  • Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions, and communication style.
Requirements
  • 1 year housekeeping experience.
  • Healthcare or hotel experience preferred.
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Basic knowledge of floor care.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing problems associated with areas of responsibility.
  • Self-directed and able to work with little supervision.
  • Capable of operating Environmental Services equipment such as automatic scrubber and burnisher.
