The Department of State (DOS) is actively seeking to enhance its clinical nursing workforce by providing attractive recruitment incentives for eligible candidates in various nursing roles, including Certified Nursing Assistants. This initiative aims to attract qualified professionals to join our dedicated team.
Incentive Overview:
- $10,000 Recruitment Incentive for Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice Nurses, Nurse Consultants, Nursing Supervisors, and Compliance Nurses.
- $7,500 Recruitment Incentive for Licensed Practical Nurses.
- $5,000 Recruitment Incentive for Certified Nursing Assistants.
- Referral bonuses of $1,000 for current DOS employees who refer new hires.
All recruitment incentives will be disbursed in quarterly installments throughout the first year of employment, commencing after the initial quarter. New hires accepting these bonuses are required to commit to two consecutive years of service with the DOS.
Role Summary:
This position involves providing essential nursing and therapeutic support, implementing treatment plans developed by professional staff. Responsibilities include caring for clients/patients/residents with various physical and mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and orient newly hired or less experienced staff, ensuring all assignments are completed effectively.
- Lead therapeutic discussions and activities, focusing on reality orientation and sensory stimulation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to share insights regarding individual client conditions and behaviors.
- Maintain the integrity of medical devices while assisting clients with personal hygiene.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to professional staff.
- Document and report unusual or hazardous behaviors observed in clients.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients through regular rounds and provide detailed reports on incidents.
- Facilitate transportation for clients to social and medical appointments.
- Implement interventions to manage and de-escalate inappropriate behaviors.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Delaware certification as a Nursing Assistant or be eligible for such certification.
Conditions of Employment:
