This position does not have any direct reports.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Store Worker I operates under close supervision, executing stocking and sanitation tasks at a retail location primarily focused on the resale of goods. Utilizing non-motorized tools, the Store Worker I is responsible for organizing merchandise for display and sale, adhering to a systematic labeling and placement protocol.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stocking products on shelves.
- Reorganizing misplaced items.
- Removing damaged goods, debris, and excess packaging.
- Arranging merchandise for an appealing and full display.
- Rotating stock to ensure freshness and compliance with sale dates.
- Disposing of outdated or damaged products.
- Returning surplus items to storage.
- Cleaning and dusting shelves and display fixtures using standard retail techniques.
- Conducting both wet and dry cleaning tasks.
- Providing exceptional customer service by assisting with product location and selection.
- May operate manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts.
- Completing additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to follow instructions within structured processes; proficiency in using relevant tools and equipment; adaptability to schedule changes and task variations; availability for evening shifts; basic mathematical skills for inventory reporting; capability to interpret stock and shelf labels; collaborative skills for effective interaction with management, colleagues, customers, and vendors; ability to manage time efficiently and adjust to changing priorities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees must be capable of performing the following physical tasks for extended periods, with or without assistance: Navigating within the retail environment; bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching; lifting and carrying items up to 25 pounds; pushing and pulling loads up to 75 pounds; grasping various objects; climbing or standing on ladders and stools; coordinating movements to place and rotate products on shelves.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The role is conducted in a retail or warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to equipment noise and varying weather conditions.
