About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Surgical Assistant to join our Perioperative Services team at Pali Momi Medical Center. As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our surgeons and anesthesiologists in delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of accredited Surgical Assistant training program
- Surgical assistant or technologist certification with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) or National Surgical Assistant Association (NSAA)
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year surgical assistant or technologist experience
