At Versova Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Pest Prevention Tech to join our team. As a member of our Pest Control Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the farm adheres to USDA and ODA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Insect Population Monitoring: Use various methods to monitor insect populations and determine the necessary actions to take.
- Pest Control Application: Work with other team members to safely and correctly apply insecticides to control population growth and development of pest insects.
- Pest Control Product Application: Application and use of various pesticides and other pest control products.
- Equipment Maintenance: Properly disinfect equipment as it is moved throughout the different areas of the farm.
- Record Keeping: Correctly fill out the corresponding paperwork for all activities done that day.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds in the form of a backpack sprayer.
- Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish/English.
- Certification: Pest control certification-qualification required.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
