Job Summary

Oswego County Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Housing Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our Supportive Housing program, you will work closely with individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness to provide case management services and support their housing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intakes and assessments to identify consumer strengths, needs, and goals
  • Develop and implement individualized housing plans to ensure successful placement and retention
  • Provide on-site visits to apartments to verify income, provide services, and support
  • Link consumers with necessary community services and resources
  • Act as a liaison between consumers, landlords, and service providers

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a Behavioral Sciences or Human Services Field
  • 1-3 years of experience working with special populations in a human services or housing program field
  • Valid NYS Driver's License and reliable vehicle for travel and transport of clients
