About the RoleThe Equitable Growth, Finance, and Institutions (EFI) Practice Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Economist to support the Regional Director in advancing economic growth and poverty reduction in the East Asia and Pacific (EAP) Region.
Key Responsibilities- Lead or contribute to the analytical design, preparation, and production of economic policy papers, policy notes, reports, and operations.
- Review and provide advice and support to the Regional Director on strategic and operational matters relating to EFI's engagement in the region.
- Ensure that the Regional Director is briefed and informed of important issues in a timely manner.
- Take on additional ad-hoc projects of a strategic or operational nature as needed.
- Master's degree in Economics, public policy, political science, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong technical skills and familiarity with work of EFI, particularly with issues related to macro-fiscal and growth, competitiveness, financial sector, public sector reform.
- Strong operational and policy dialogue skills, as evidenced by a proven track record in delivering high-quality lending and advisory.
