Lawn Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lawn Maintenance Technician to join our team at World Volkswagen. As a key member of our landscaping crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the beauty and health of our outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities:
  • Lawn Maintenance: Perform regular lawn maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, and trimming grass to maintain a neat and well-manicured appearance.
  • Shrub and Hedge Care: Prune and trim shrubs, bushes, and hedges to maintain their shape and promote healthy growth.
  • Weed Control: Perform weed control activities, including applying herbicides and removing weeds by hand to maintain a weed-free lawn.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and operate a variety of lawn maintenance equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and edgers.
  • Landscape Features: Install and maintain landscape features, such as flower beds, mulch, rocks, and decorative elements.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to complete larger landscaping projects, such as sod installation or garden redesigns.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment storage.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in lawn maintenance, landscaping, or a related field is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate a passion for the job.
  • Lawn Care Knowledge: Strong knowledge of lawn care techniques, including mowing patterns, edging methods, and shrub trimming.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to safely and efficiently operate lawn maintenance equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality workmanship.
  • Physical Stamina: Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Plant Knowledge: Basic knowledge of plant identification and care is a plus.
