Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with shipping and receiving, operating manufacturing line equipment, and ensuring the organization and cleanliness of the plant. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in forklift operation and the ability to work 2nd shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and unload trucks
  • Load trucks using the bill of lading as a guide
  • Scan materials and finished goods in and out of the plant with IBMi (AS400) software
  • Load machinery with the necessary resources to support production
  • Ensure pallets are ready for shipment and free of debris
  • Make sure pallets are labeled correctly with corresponding tickets
  • Report any quality concerns to the quality team
  • Contribute to the organization and cleanliness of the plant through daily, weekly, and monthly SQF practices
  • Adhere to all food safety procedures and measures

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in forklift operation
  • Ability to work 2nd shift

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous experience in manufacturing

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional kneeling/crouching required
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Frequent sitting for extended periods
  • Frequent standing for extended periods

Environmental Exposures

  • Operating machinery produces at least 85 decibels (dB) of noise.
  • The industrial duties of this position may expose the employee to odors, wetness, dirt, and dust.
