Warming House Attendant

The City of Bemidji, MN is seeking a Warming House Attendant to provide leadership and enforce rules at the outdoor pleasure rinks and hockey rinks. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing ice rinks and warming houses, providing assistance to patrons, and performing general maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Enforce rules and maintain safe, orderly conduct at the ice rinks and warming houses
- Provide assistance to patrons, including lacing up skates and answering questions
- Perform general maintenance tasks, such as shoveling snow and sweeping walkways
- Provide verbal and written reports regarding attendance, injuries, incidents, and weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferably, some work experience related to arena and/or outdoor recreational facilities maintenance
- Ability to demonstrate courtesy and tact when dealing with the public
- Ability to complete assigned tasks in an organized and timely manner
- Ability to arrive and leave work on time, as scheduled
The work environment is outdoors, with regular exposure to wet and/or humid conditions associated with weather. The noise level is usually moderate.
