Job Summary:

Naphcare, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality medical care to patients in a correctional facility setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, collaborating with our medical staff, and upholding our commitment to excellence in correctional healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect medical care to meet the physiological, psychological, and emotional needs of patients
  • Obtain patient history and perform physical examinations to determine health status
  • Formulate working diagnoses, develop, and implement treatment plans
  • Identify patient health conditions and prescribe treatment based on diagnosis
  • Evaluate patients who have returned from off-site treatment
  • Admit and discharge patients from all units in the facility
  • Conduct rounds and schedule laboratory and diagnostic procedures

Requirements:

  • Current unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in FL
  • Current DEA registration
  • Appropriate collaborative agreement with the on-site Physician
  • Valid CPR card
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in primary care with correctional healthcare preferred
