Job Title: Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team at Insight Global.

Job Summary:

The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for leading the development of software applications using Java and related technologies. This role requires a strong understanding of software development principles, Agile methodologies, and experience with Java development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of software applications using Java and related technologies.
  • Design and implement software solutions using Agile methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software code, following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve software development practices.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years of development experience with Java (minimum Java 8).
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, Relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Demonstrated experience with object-oriented design and coding with variety of languages and proven ability to understand and use complex data structures and associated components.
  • Deep understanding of multithreading concepts with experience of developing robust and scalable distributed serverside applications and algorithms.
  • Analytical skills and knack of looking for non-obvious solutions.
  • Should have worked on RESTful API design and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using tools and automation capabilities such as JUnit, Mocking, TestNG, Jenkins, Git, Stash, and Jira.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or related field.
