Job Overview:

The Material Handler 2 role involves performing various warehouse functions under general supervision. This position is responsible for the efficient movement of materials, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include receiving, shipping, and managing inventory effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and verify incoming materials, ensuring accuracy in quality and quantity.
  • Utilize material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
  • Pick, pack, and deliver materials to designated areas or internal customers as needed.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate records of material transactions.
  • Operate computer systems and software applications for inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Forklift experience is essential, with certification preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and operating machinery safely.
