Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate precision machinery, including lathes, mills, and grinders, to cut, sharpen, bore, grind, repair, or make tools from metal or plastic materials to meet production requirements.
  • Inspect, fabricate, and finish tools using visual inspection techniques, microscopes, micrometers, automated measuring instruments, chamfering, buffering, polishing, and other finishing techniques.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat, and/or skin.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in tool grinding or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally exert push force up to 50 pounds.
