Job Summary

St. David's HealthCare is seeking a highly skilled Special Procedures Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our Interventional Suites, you will provide technical assistance to physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with procedures in the Interventional Suite, demonstrating proficiency with equipment and supplies.
  • Prepare patients and rooms for exams, managing wires and components required for procedures.
  • Perform circulator duties, including pulling supplies, altering technique as needed, and communicating with patients and families.
  • Provide patient care throughout procedures, explaining the process to patients and ensuring their understanding.
  • Ensure patient safety throughout exams, adhering to Standard Precautions or Isolation Precautions as necessary.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology Program (ARRT)
  • 2 years of Radiology Tech experience in an acute setting
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Interventional Technologist
  • Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) with the Texas Medical Board
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Primary certification in Radiography - ARRT (R) or Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI)
