Compensation for Environmental Services Associate:
$16.20 / Hourly

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain cleanliness in common areas, guest rooms, assisted living spaces, health centers, and other designated areas.

Responsibilities include vacuuming drapes and furniture, defrosting and cleaning refrigerators/freezers, washing windows, changing linens, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, spot cleaning carpets, and maintaining kitchen areas.

Adhere to specific instructions provided by residents.
Ensure cleanliness in hallways, laundry rooms, and trash disposal areas on assigned floors. Maintain cleanliness in exercise rooms, office spaces, and restrooms.
Clean assisted living apartments as required.
Participate in all staff meetings and departmental training sessions.
Respond promptly to housekeeping emergencies.
Execute special cleaning tasks for apartment turnover.
Report any hazardous conditions or equipment issues to the supervisor.
Wear the designated uniform daily. Clean all apartments according to policy and schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, or a willingness to learn the necessary procedures for the role.
Preferred six months of experience in environmental services, ideally within a healthcare environment.
Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and the general public.
This position may require direct care or access to resident property or belongings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to regularly lift 30 pounds and occasionally lift 50 pounds without assistance; the ability to sit, talk, and hear is also required.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

RESPONSIBILITY FOR OTHERS:
The employee has no responsibility for others but may assist in training new staff.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be fully familiar with all safety policies and procedures of Episcopal Church Home.

Actively participate in all fire drills during shifts and/or emergencies for internal and external disasters as monitored by the supervisor and incident manager.

Must comply with facility in-service requirements.
