Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As a skilled and compassionate nurse, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and recognize patients' psychological and physical needs, developing individualized treatment plans to address these needs.
• Foster a culture of quality care, prioritizing patients' and families' well-being and communicating effectively with them.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring seamless care coordination.
• Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Supervise and guide Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in delivering patient care, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
• Participate in clinical team conferences, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance patient outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital, regulatory, and professional guidelines, policies, and procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 4 years.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice, with a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
• One year of nursing experience in a comparable setting, with a strong preference for ICU experience.

Physical Requirements:

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy, including frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, including items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment, including pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, often navigating crowded and busy rooms.
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
