Autonomous Systems Engineer

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Deep Learning Engineer to join our team at Bonsai Robotics. This role involves developing, implementing, and optimizing custom deep learning models for robotics systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in ML modeling, preferably object detection & segmentation, and be proficient in C++ and Python programming languages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize large-scale deep learning models on GPU clusters, focusing on improving performance metrics.
- Implement cutting-edge perception algorithms for autonomous vehicle deployment.
- Optimize deep learning computational processes using methods like quantization and pruning.
- Collaborate with software and testing teams to integrate and optimize algorithms/modules in simulated and real-world environments.
- Experience with Multi-task models is preferred.
- Bonus: Experience with ROS-2 and TensorRT.
Qualifications:
- A career in Deep Learning or Computer Vision with significant application in real-world scenarios.
- Publications in leading AI conferences or notable experience in Kaggle competitions.
- Architectural experience with YOLO, SSD, U-Net, and Vision transformers.
- A Ph.D. or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related area.
- At least two years of experience in deep learning algorithms or within the autonomous driving industry.
- Proficiency in a major deep learning framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Familiarity with classical computer vision algorithms, particularly multiview geometry.
- Development skills in C/C++ or Python.
- Effective communication skills for clear dissemination of information and results.
Payscale Range: $150,000 - $250,000 per year.
