Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Lewistown Primary Care Clinic. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and record patient information, including vital signs, medical history, and chief complaint.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
  • Collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Perform routine tests, including EKGs, hearing, and vision screens.
  • Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follow up as necessary.
  • Communicate test results to patients and establish a plan of care.
  • Document patient plans of care, tests, and examination results in the medical record.
  • Prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment.
  • Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines.
  • Ensure safety checklists and quality controls are completed.
  • Perform clinical diagnostic x-rays and prepare completed studies for provider review.
  • Perform all required processor and equipment maintenance and quality control processes.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current/valid registration by the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
  • Current Full Scope certification and State Licensure.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 3 months of previous experience within a healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in radiologic technology.
Physical Requirements

This role requires ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy is also required.
