We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Trina Solar US Manufacturing Module 1 LLC. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities equipment and systems.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of military or industrial experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, or electrical controls. You should possess intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to record and log work in a CMMS software platform.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot AC/DC circuit issues and change out electrical components. Effective communication skills are also essential, as you will need to collaborate with colleagues and provide clear instructions to others.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute assignments in a safe manner and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and conduct projects related to 8020 cart and station engineering approved changes and retrofits.
  • Train Technician 1 associates on predictive/preventative maintenance of equipment and systems.
  • Conduct metal and wood fabrication, including welding and milling.
  • Efficiently create basic equipment daily inspection standards, repair/replace Facilities Equipment that fails.
  • Navigate the Controls System to find Facilities Equipment System efficiently and find equipment data.
  • Conduct regulatory testing on fire pump and sprinkler visual PMs.
  • Systematically perform power recovery of the building.
  • Conduct operation, maintenance, tests, and repairs of mechanical, electrical and controls equipment, systems, and components.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and mechanical support.
  • Apply skills in restoring equipment to operational status, including but not limited to Electrical distribution, Air Compressors, Chillers, Vacuum pumps, Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer and HVAC.
  • Monitor Control System Overview to identify system problems such as jams, faults, etc.
  • Assist with preventive/predictive maintenance of equipment and systems.
  • Responsible for maintaining safety guidelines, cleanliness and security standards.
  • Troubleshoot simple AC circuitry. Identify and replace blown fuses.
  • Identify and surface issues to leadership in a timely fashion.
  • Assist with basic metal and wood fabrication, may include saws and drills.
  • Comply and meet standard operating procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of military or industrial experience in one or more of the following areas: plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, or electrical controls.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) as well as the ability to record and log work in a CMMS software platform.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and execute written and/or oral instructions.
  • Intermediate electrical knowledge. Must have the ability to troubleshoot AC/DC circuit issues to include relays, etc., and change out electrical components.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate appropriately within the department at a site level.
  • Ability to analyze, problem solve, and make decisions independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure while meeting immediate goals, deadlines, standards and expectations.
  • Proficient at conducting standard robotic drive preventive maintenance.
  • Proficient in safe operation of articulating aerial lifts.
  • Experience conducting PMs and repairs on conveyor systems and related.
  • Must have intermediate preventive maintenance & troubleshooting skills and repair methods.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge. Ability to easily change parts and do minor rebuilding of components.
  • Proficient at safely monitoring and maintaining operation within a live robotics floor to include clearing drive issues.
  • Experience in metal fabrication and welding a plus.
