Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting our pharmacists in their daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
- Process prescriptions, including entering patient and drug information into our pharmacy systems.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including inventory management and sales data.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and technologies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Pharmacy Technician certification or training program completion preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions.
