Job Title: Travel Contract Registered Nurse - L&D

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Travel Contract Registered Nurse - L&D. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

About the Role:
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, collaborating with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
  • One to three years of ICU experience, with a strong foundation in critical care nursing.
  • BLS/ACLS certification, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing, with a strong understanding of nursing regulations and standards.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification, with a focus on de-escalation techniques and patient safety.
  • NRP Certification, with a strong understanding of neonatal resuscitation and critical care.
  • National Institutes of Health Certification, with a focus on evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills, staying current with best practices and industry developments.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs, prioritizing professional growth and development.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients, with a focus on empathy, compassion, and respect.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise, with a strong commitment to patient safety and well-being.
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers, and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and flexibility to handle multiple tasks, with a strong focus on prioritization and time management.
