Key Responsibilities:
- Modify classroom activities and materials under the guidance of the supervising educator to support learning objectives and fulfill IEP requirements.
- Serve as a mandated reporter to ensure student safety.
- Administer tests and assignments to support student learning.
- Assist students with personal care needs to promote their comfort and hygiene.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions to enhance job performance.
- Accompany students to various locations to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Utilize appropriate intervention strategies to manage potential conflicts.
- Provide instructional support to students under teacher supervision.
- Prepare the learning environment to facilitate student participation.
- Contribute to IEP meetings by sharing insights on student progress.
- Collect and maintain data related to student IEP goals.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Completion of formal academic assessments, an associate's degree, or two years of post-secondary education.
- Possession of a valid Texas educational aide certificate.
