Position Overview


The FP&A Lead for Oceaneering Mobile Robotics (OMR) is instrumental in enhancing operational performance across business units by modernizing and optimizing processes to deliver timely, precise, and actionable insights to key stakeholders.

The FP&A Lead maximizes value by ensuring high-quality and reliable annual budgeting, monthly rolling forecasts, business intelligence/analytics, and management reporting for all OMR leaders.


Work Environment and Travel

  • This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for both virtual and in-office work as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% is required.
Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to devise and execute business strategies, providing financial insights to facilitate decision-making.
  • Deliver comprehensive analytical support to OMR leaders, offering clear insights into value creation opportunities and cost management strategies.
  • Lead and coordinate long-term financial modeling for the global OMR business unit.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting at all organizational levels.
  • Analyze and report on monthly variances against plans/forecasts, providing insights for business leaders.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to assess the performance of respective business units.
  • Project business growth and market trends to inform short- and medium-term financial planning.
  • Conduct ongoing performance analysis and recommend action plans to enhance profitability and cash flow as necessary.
  • Identify financial risks and formulate strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement.
  • Lead and guide the finance and accounting team for OMR, aligning direction with company strategy.
  • Assume full administrative responsibility for the accounting and planning functions in support of business operations.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly financial reviews, closing, and reporting processes for management purposes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, finance, or business analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in financial analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying financial concepts and analysis results to executive management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management abilities, with experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Sound business judgment in complex environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a product and systems delivery business.
  • Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning software.
  • Proficiency in statistical or scientific software packages (e.g., R/SPLUS, Mathematica, MATLAB).
  • An MBA or related postgraduate degree is preferred.
  • 3 years of post-graduate experience in consulting, financial services, or corporate environments is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the automation and/or robotics industry.

Additional Information
