Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavior Therapist to join our team at our Keller, TX center. As a Behavior Therapist, you will work one-on-one with our clients, following a therapy plan developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your role will involve helping our clients build essential skills and replacing obstructive behaviors with constructive ones.

Responsibilities
  • Work one-on-one with clients, following a therapy plan developed by a BCBA
  • Help clients build essential skills and replace obstructive behaviors with constructive ones
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Mental Health Practitioners, Physical Therapists, and Neuropsychologists as part of our interdisciplinary approach
  • Enter notes, assessments, and treatment summaries into our electronic medical system after each session
Requirements
  • Prior childcare experience, especially with children with developmental needs, or caretaking experience, such as a nurse or aide
  • Studying or interested in psychology or child development
  • Love of active play and ability to make learning fun
  • Background or interest in other pediatric therapies, such as speech therapy, physical therapy, or occupational therapy
  • Basic computer skills and ability to pick up new technology quickly
  • Previous experience as a childcare provider, teacher's aide, special education assistant, autism support professional, caregiver for children with special needs, behavior therapist, paraprofessional, child life specialist, aide for children with special needs, or babysitter
