Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Carrier Corporation. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for various manufacturing operations, including assembly, machine operation, and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Position and secure components/sub-assemblies using fixtures, fasteners, or adhesives
- Check parts and alignment, setting aside faulty material and notifying Supervisor
- Clean parts and/or sub-assemblies as required
- Repair damage to painted parts with brush or spray
- Connect to gas/air/electric test equipment and check as specified
- Packaging, carton, and identity (stencil, etc.)
- Determine and record production counts
- Keep equipment and working area clean and in good order
- Perform quality checks as required
- Responsible for quality and parts that meet customer expectations
- Meet customer deadlines
- Ability to acquire necessary skills/knowledge/certifications as required
- Take ownership for accuracy of processes
- Work successfully in a team environment & handle multiple tasks
Requirements:
- Ability to pass background & drug screen
- Available to work 2nd shift, 4p-12a with overtime and/or flexibility for 1st shift 6a-3p
- Able to stand for extended hours and lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to read and understand standard workplace safety instructions and standard work instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Flexibility to work 1st AND 2nd shift
- Must have good problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow direction from the Supervisor, Team Lead and/or Team Members.
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
