Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Medical Communications Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for processing incoming calls from patients, visitors, staff, and the general public. You will utilize your excellent communication skills to assist callers with their inquiries, provide information, and direct them to the appropriate resources.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and process incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist callers with their inquiries, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Utilize electronic directories, websites, and other reference materials to locate and provide information to callers.
  • Page staff as necessary to respond to urgent or priority calls.
  • Maintain a high level of concentration and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in call handling.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
  • Computer and keyboarding experience.
  • Multi-phone line experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years customer service experience.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
