Job Summary
Lincoln Behavioral Services is seeking a skilled IMH Therapist to join our team. As an IMH Therapist, you will work with parents, program staff, and community resources to provide a continuum of services to infants and their families.
This community-based service will focus on strengthening and preserving the parent-infant relationship, identifying needs, and providing therapeutic interventions as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete all required trainings and certifications
- Report to work on time and at the assigned location
- Transport consumers to community appointments, clinic appointments, activities, and other resources as identified in their person-centered plan
- Be proficient in ASQ and other mental health screening instruments
- Complete required IMH/SED assessment trainings and gain certification within the established timeframe
- Provide home-based therapeutic services
- Facilitate support groups as needed
- Provide client transportation as needed
- Participate in individual and group supervision
- Participate in ongoing professional development, including in-service training, peer review, external workshops, and seminars
- Attend all agency and department meetings as required
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related human service field
- Obtain appropriate certification through the Michigan Association of Infant Mental Health
- Background in early childhood development or basic understanding of appropriate parent-infant dynamics
- Preferred 2 years of experience with direct clinical experience in providing therapeutic services to infants/toddlers and their families
- State of Michigan (LARA) license: LLMSW, LMSW, LLC, LPC, LLP
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to demonstrate commitment, caring, and respect for children and adults from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work cooperatively and responsibly as a member of a team
- Ability to develop treatment plans and coordinate needed services
- Ability to role model appropriate child-handling techniques to parents
- Understanding of professional practice, ethics, and HIPPA requirements
- Ability to represent the agency in a professional manner
