Responsibilities- Takes initial patient histories and performs physical examinations
- Reviews patient medical diagnosis, prognosis, medications, procedures, and clinical course
- Initiates, documents, and communicates the plan of care and follows up to ensure complete screening and preparation of patients
- Performs patient exams/consultations
- Writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests
- Interprets laboratory and test results
- Diagnoses and treatment/care plan formulation
- Confers with physicians, nursing staff, and/or other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care
- Provides health education and counseling
- Graduate degree from an accredited nursing school, such as a Master of Science in nursing or Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program
- Physician Assistant /Nurse Practitioner license in NC
- 2-4 years of clinical work experience
- Must be willing to work independently and be responsible for your own caseload
