Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Bristol, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance, component inspections, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform standard vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
- Identify root causes of basic failures and perform repairs as required
- Replace defective components as instructed
- Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
