Job Summary

As a Diesel Mechanic at WM, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance services, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles and equipment, and utilizing vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment
  • Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisition new parts
  • Perform all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs)
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles
  • Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
Requirements
  • Two (2) years of relevant work experience
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
