Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload trucks and receive merchandise in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stock merchandise adequately, rotating and facing products on shelves to ensure maximum visibility and accessibility.
  • Build and maintain visually appealing merchandise displays to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Assist customers with locating merchandise, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operate cash registers and flatbed scanners to accurately process customer transactions and maintain a high level of cash handling accuracy.
  • Collect payment from customers, make change, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners, as needed.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, including bailing cardboard, taking out trash, dusting and mopping store floors, and cleaning restrooms and stockrooms.
Requirements
  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of safety policies and practices.
  • Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
  • Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
