Position Summary: We are in search of a knowledgeable Tax Consultant with substantial experience in tax return preparation, strategic tax planning, and tax research. The ideal candidate will be capable of leading and managing multiple tax projects across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all tax projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Prepare and evaluate individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns of varying complexities.
  • Prepare and assess current and deferred tax provisions in line with ASC 740.
  • Prepare and review quarterly and year-end estimates to support clients with tax strategies.
  • Build and sustain client relationships.
  • Organize and plan engagements, delegate tasks for optimal efficiency, maintain productivity, and ensure team profitability.
  • Educate, train, and mentor staff, contributing to the professional growth of the Firm's team members.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on corporate and partnership federal and state/local income taxation.
  • Exceptional project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, training, and mentoring capabilities.
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Committed to providing outstanding client service.
  • Ability to thrive in a sales-oriented environment with a focus on expanding the tax practice.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office Suite; strong computer skills, and familiarity with accounting and tax software (CCH Axcess products preferred).
  • Professionalism, reliability, integrity, trustworthiness, and a collaborative attitude.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; a Master's degree in Taxation is advantageous.
  • CPA certification.
  • 10+ years of public accounting experience.
  • Experience in Tax Audits.
  • Strong supervisory experience.
