About the P.J. Boatwright, Jr. Internship Program:

In 1991, the USGA established the P.J. Boatwright, Jr. Internship Program, designed to give experience to individuals interested in pursuing a career in golf administration.

This program assists state and regional golf associations in promoting amateur golf on a short-term, entry-level basis.

Past interns have gone on to obtain full-time positions in the sports industry, including roles at Austin Peay State University, Austin FC, Special Olympics Tennessee, Montgomery Bell Academy, University of Central Florida, Baylor University Athletics, and more.

About the Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this internship is $18,000, providing a competitive compensation package for candidates.

This includes a paid internship, Rules of Golf training experiences, TGA Staff Apparel and uniforms, business-related travel expenses, and limited golf privileges.
