Job Summary:We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Life Skills Trainer to join our team. In this role, you'll provide training, assistance, and supervision to individuals in their daily living skills, therapeutic recreation, and other areas of support. Your expertise will help our clients develop the skills they need to thrive in their communities.
Responsibilities:- Provide training and assistance in daily living skills, such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
- Support clients in their therapeutic and behavioral plans, working closely with our clinical staff.
- Facilitate relationships between employers and individuals served, promoting community involvement and social connections.
- Assist with daily activities, such as shopping, cleaning, and transportation to work or other activities.
- 6-12 months of experience in the human services field (preferred)
- Valid Driver's License from the state of residence (with 2 years of post-permit driving experience)
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Successful clearance of background checks
- A caring attitude, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills
