We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Fairview Park Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, triaging, assessing, and treating patients of all ages presenting for emergency care.
Key Responsibilities- Triage and assess patients presenting for emergency care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and medical history
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed
- Coordinate and triage incoming ambulance traffic
- Manage care with primary ED attending
- Learn, understand, and use the Emergency Severity Index 5-level triage algorithm
- Demonstrate the ability to manage critical situations and make care-based decisions
- Educate patients regarding their medications, procedures, and treatments
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher
- Previous emergency, pre-hospital, or critical care Registered Nurse experience preferred
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification
Fairview Park Hospital is a 175+ bed acute-care hospital serving the community with 24-hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient surgery options, and rehabilitation therapy services. Our hospital provides specialized programs, including our Sleep Center, Same Day Surgery Center, Heart Center, Women's Imaging Center, and more.
