Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a sterile environment and handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgical procedures.
  • Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and surgeon to facilitate surgical procedures.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and maintain vigilance for the maintenance of the sterile field.
  • Function independently in the scrub role and as a circulator under the supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
  • 1-3 years of scrubbing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with all specialty services preferred.
  • CST - Certified Surgical Technologist upon hire required.
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure upon hire required.
Working Conditions

This role may require on-call duties and rotating shifts. The Surgical Technologist must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of concentration and attention to detail.
