Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiogram Technician to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing quality echocardiogram procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine echocardiograms to evaluate heart function and detect potential abnormalities
  • Assist physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms
  • Notify physicians daily for exam interpretation and check weekly for needed supplies
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Meet the age-specific and developmental needs of patients served by the department
  • Adhere to the Core values of Christus Health
  • Obtain certification by ARDMS or CCI within 1 year of hire

Requirements:

Education/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology preferred

Experience:

  • Two years of experience in the cardiology field preferred
  • Experience with stress testing is preferred

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

  • BLS Required
  • DCS, RCS, RDMS through ARDMS or CCI preferred

Work Type:

Per Diem As Needed
