Job Overview

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is in search of dedicated Animal Care Specialists. The primary role of our Animal Care Specialists is to ensure the health and comfort of the pets entrusted to our facility. The ideal candidate possesses a genuine passion for animals and is committed to delivering exceptional care to our clients' pets.

This position is part-time, with compensation reflecting prior experience and qualifications. Typical shifts are from 12:30 PM to 7:00 PM, requiring 2-4 shifts per week. To effectively support our clients and their pets, a commitment to weekend shifts and select holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform essential care tasks including walking dogs, feeding animals, cleaning enclosures, and administering medications.
  • Assist with the restraint and bathing of animals.
  • Adhere to a strict cleaning and sanitation protocol.
  • Ensure a hygienic and safe environment for all animals.
  • Identify and document any unusual behaviors or health concerns.

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in animal care or kennel management is preferred.
  • Ability to interact with animals in a calm and gentle manner.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
  • Capability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
