Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced cardiothoracic physician assistant to join our team in Northern Illinois. This is a full continuum of care position with a high volume of operating room cases, including first assisting with open heart surgeries and endoscopic vein harvesting. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting and cardiac surgery first assisting experience.

Responsibilities:
  • First assist with open heart surgeries
  • Perform endoscopic vein harvesting
  • Rounding on inpatients
  • Outpatient duties, including seeing postop patients and scheduling surgery
  • Refill medications and facilitate outpatient orders
  • Debride wounds as needed
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting
  • Cardiac surgery first assisting experience
  • PA/NP license
